About Program
The program was opened in 2015-2016 academic year and will admit students in 2017 - 2018 academic year. Our school already has all the equipment, application kitchens and classrooms necessary for cooking education. The program is aimed to train successful students who will have a universal perspective as well as the theoretical background and practical experience that students will need throughout their professional lives. Students who successfully graduate from the program will have the opportunity to continue their professional lives in hotels, restaurans and catering businesses in Turkey and abroadabroad with the help of modern and qualified education they will receive in line with the sectoral needs.
Goals
Ankara University Beypazari Vocational School, Culinary Program, aims to train the chefs to work in the world and Turkey and to transfer cooking methods to future generations both by adhering to tradition and by developing in the direction of innovations.In addition to the practical cooking lessons for the students of the Culinary Program, there is a wide range of courses, including materials and purchasing information, food and personnel hygiene, World cuisines, Classical Turkish Cuisine, bar service, banquet and catering lessons will also be given .Each student will have the opportunity to cook and present what they have learned in the practice kitchen for a few hours a week.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Students who successfully graduate from the program have the necessary qualifications for managerial assistances in the food and beverage business, as well as for food preparation and cooking techniques. They also have information on menu planning and kitchen organization, food technology, healthy nutrition, hygiene, design of businesses.
