About Program
The Doctoral Programme of Adult Education was first established in 1968 as “Popular Education”. The programme has gone through some changes and as a result it has changed into “Lifelong Learning and Adult Education” in 2009. The adult education doctoral programme is conducted by 2 professors, 2 associated professors and 1 lecturer. Priority for acceptance to the programme is given to the graduates of the master’s degree.
Goals
The aim of the adult education doctoral programme is to train academic staff in the field, to ensure that the graduates have the ability to conduct scientific studies on the prior fields of adult education, that they can develop solutions to the problems of the field and that they can follow the developments and lead innovative researchs and projects.
Summary of Program Outcomes
The graduates of the programme are expected to be informed on the theoretical foundations and specialized knowledge of adult education and to have apropriate skills to analyze, synthesise and evaluate deeply.
