About Program

This program has been designed to have the candidates to be able to carry out independent researches, be able to analize and synthese the events with broad and deep view point. Those who complete this programme after graduating two years masters education will be able to  investigate the new developments and contribute to this field and will gain at least on of the skills as finding something new in science, developing new scientific method, applying a known method to a new field.  

Goals

With the doctoral programme, the academician candidate who has masters degree, will come to the level of being able to develop new knowledge by thinking in dept and be able to develop projects by taking courses such as Educational Strategies in Teaching Physical Education, Project Development and Research Techniques, Physical Literacy. The students who continue this programme will understand the role of physical education and physical activity in the child's life and give importance academic studies and will have the ideals which will make the sports culture a part of child's life. In addition to these, at the end of the programme, the candidates will be able to inform the teacher candidates in today's Turkey about school age children obesity problems and health-movement-disease.

Summary of Program Outcomes

Explores new knowledge in the Sports Field related to doctoral proficiencies. Syntheses the knowledge gainded from different fields with interdisciplinary interaction. Applies the qualitative and quantitative techniques in investigations carried out. Gives seminars in his/her field according to the needs of the society and individuals. Analiyzes the multiple structure of joining Lifelong Physical Activity. Carries out research in the field of Sports Education by paying attention to scientific, ethical and cultural values in the steps of collecting, evaluating and publishing data .
