About Program

Intellectual property rights are such rights that are granted in order to protect intelectual creations. They ensure that intellectual efforts are transformed 
into the the economic value. In our country there is serious lack of educational facilities in this area. In particular there is no PhD programme for intellectual 
property in Turkey. The persons who works in this area do not get sufficient education. In order to create added value, sustainale economic development 
and social welfare innovation is crucial. It can only be achieved by efficient protection of intellectual property rights. Intellectual Property Law PhD 
programme covers such protection. 

Goals

To teach teachers in IP law, To raise awareness by means of contribute to IP law education, To contribute to the cooperation between industry and university, To attract international researchers to Turkey and to build bridges between international agencies. 

Summary of Program Outcomes

Raising teachers teaching IP law, raising awareness by means of contributing to IP education, to fill the gap for experts who are able to use information in public and private sector in fields of R&D and consulting services and who are able to produce added value, attracting international researchers in Turkey and building brighes between international agencies, providing changes in literature by means of producing original works in IP law.
