About Program
Public relations and presentation department was created to provide workforce who are skilled in this field and conduct researches. This department contributes in the fields of public relations, presentation, advertising, public opinion researches which has great importance because of the developing communication environment by given education.
In the bachelor program, there are courses about communication field subsequent to courses aimed bring social science formation. Students, who have completed these courses, will take courses which are specialized on the subjects like public relations planning and implementation, organizational theory, advertising design and implementation and promotion of Turkey, beginning from their third years.
In the first years courses were obligatory, but in the following years students can choose courses on fields they are interested in. Within the department there is an advertising studio especially for advertising implementations. It is also important that students who have chosen the department should require the qualification of especially speaking and writing skills.
Goals
To train public relations and advertising experts who have core and basic communication skills; show sensitivity to humans, society and environment; have an understanding of their place and that of his profession in social development; have proficiency in his profession and takes ethical responsibility for it; view continuous development as a way of life; adopt scientific thinking; pursue the public interest in their professional practices; use information and communication technologies effectively and can think creatively and critically.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Provide theory and practice integrity in public relations and advertising practices. The student will have capability to conceptualize and analyze events and facts about communication and media; develop solutions based on evidences and researches. Plan and organize public relations and advertising events by evaluating organizations’ strategic options and operational policies.
