About Program
Within the program; There are lessons on Russian language, literature, culture and history. Grammar, phonetic, morphological and syntax structure are given in detail to the students who have won our major. Lessons on Russian literature examine the lives and works of great Russian writers. In Russian culture courses, Russian culture traditions and customs are examined in terms of cinema, theater and music.
Goals
To teach the ability to read, write and speak in Russian language; to teach Russian culture within the context of literature.In relation with the the primary purpose, to educate students who are going to have role in enhancing the relations of Russia and Turkey through the interaction of these cultures.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Gain extensive chronological knowledge of Russian language and literature, from the emergence of Russian poetry, drama, novel and prose up to the 21st Century, as well as the historical, social, economic developments leading to the production of these works. Gain general and basic knowledge of literary genres (features, examples and transformation in different periods) and acquire the ability to appreciate literary works in this respect.
