About Program

Management Information Systems Program is a 4-year open education undergraduate program opened in 2021 within the scope of Ankara University Open and Distance Education Faculty. The program aims to train managers who will establish, develop and maintain information systems in the public and private sectors; It aims to provide students with the skills to understand the planning, design, establishment and management of methods, processes and systems used to meet the need to produce, store, share and access information.

Goals

The continuous development and change in information and communication technologies directly affects the processes of producing, organizing, sharing, distributing and using information. Individuals and institutions can make faster, more effective and accurate decisions; It depends on them to manage information and technology in accordance with the innovations and conditions required by the age and to reflect them on their business processes. For this, it is very important to train individuals who can understand all the stages of planning business processes, determine methods, design and manage systems and carry out studies. It is aimed to achieve this with the "Management Information Systems" program, which deals with human, technology, knowledge, learning, education and informatics.

Summary of Program Outcomes

Individuals who will graduate from the program; can establish, develop and maintain information systems in the public and private sectors. They can understand the processes of planning, designing, establishing and managing the methods, processes and systems used to meet the need to produce, store, share and access information.
