About Program
Classroom education constitutes the most important educational step after pre-school education all over the world. Groups that do not receive pre-school education directly start their education life with basic education. For this reason, it is thought that all quality-enhancing practices in the field of classroom education will reflect on individual and social education experiences.
Since our most important resource in increasing the quality is teachers, it is thought that teachers' participation in postgraduate education and their professional development are important. Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences Classroom Education Program was opened in the 1997-1998 academic year within the scope of the Higher Education Institution's reorganization of teacher training programs and gave its first graduates in 2002. Our program has sufficient experience, equipment and staff.
Students who have completed the Classroom Education undergraduate program and want to continue their graduate education are directed to different universities that have this program. Our classroom teachers who graduated from Ankara University, the first university of the Republic, can contribute to their professional development by continuing their Master's education at their own university.
Goals
The aim of the program is to train specialist individuals who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience to do education, training and high-level research in the field of Primary Education, who can think critically, have high self-confidence, and have the qualifications to follow the innovations in their field on a national and international scale.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Program qualifications have been prepared under the headings of knowledge, skills and competencies (7th level), taking into account the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework. Considering higher education qualifications; social, cultural and economic needs, student needs, programs related to the field and taking the opinions of the relevant stakeholders.
