About Program
The aim of the criminalistics master's program is to equip students with knowledge and skills in solving crimes, combating crime, and bringing criminals to justice. This program covers topics such as forensic science, evidence and expertness, evidence collection and evaluation. Students are equipped with the ability to use scientific methods and techniques while examining crime incidents. Additionally, elective courses are available in areas such as forensic medicine, crime scene investigation, basic forensic autopsy, explosives, etc. Forensic science master's programs aim to enable students to solve complex problems related to crime and contribute to the justice system. This program provides important preparation for those seeking a career in forensic science. The Criminalistics Master's Program at the Institute of Health Sciences accepts graduates of at least undergraduate level from the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Departments of Faculty of Science. In addition, it is required to graduate from the Faculty of Science, Police Academy, or Gendarmerie Officer School to be admitted to the Program as a student. Interdisciplinary Forensic Sciences Department Academic Board may recommend and other relevant branches of science deemed appropriate by the Institute Board of Directors may be admitted to the program. Graduates of the program are provided with the opportunity to pursue doctoral education in the field of forensic science.
Goals
Criminalistics Master's programme ; aims at the creation of trained staff to undertake the provision of scientific and technical support in areas where physical examination and criminalistics interest in solving criminal cases. The training staff, who continue their academic careers in the professional sense of the country, selected from different disciplines and includes the most experienced training staff who worked in the forensic sciences.
Summary of Program Outcomes
The majority of the graduates of the program can expertise when they have worked private or public organizations in the execution of their profession incidents within the criminalistics in the solution space. Also they contribute to science through scientific study related fields.
