Goals The goal of this course is to introduce and comprehend Korean poems.
Course Content The history of Korean poems are taught and some famous poems are examined in depth.
Learning Outcomes 1) General Information about Ancient Korean poem is learnt
2) Modern Korean Poems are learnt
3) Poem movements between 1910 and 1990 are learnt.
4) Ch’oe Namson’s poem (From the Sea to a Youth) is analysed.
5) Kim Sovol’s poem (Azaleas) is analysed.
6) Hwan Yongun’s poem (Silence of My Darling) is analysed.
7) Kim Yongnang’s poem ( Till a Peony Bloom) is analysed.
8) Yu Chihwan’s Poem (A Flag) is analysed.
9) Lee Sang’s poem (Mirror) is analysed.
10) Yun Dongcun’s poem (Another Hometown) is analysed.
11) Bak Mogvol’s poem (A Traveler) is analysed.
12) Bak Ducin’s poem (The Sun) is analysed.
13) General view of Korean Poems is understood.
14) Historical periods of Korean Poem are learned.
