Goals In this course the normative characteristic of verbal literature along with popular literature (or written folklore works) the matter of daily life has been introduced and the comparison and the difference between folk literature and high literature is being introduced and the main feature of the folk literature has been to the students.
Course Content With the main feature of the production of oral folklore (verbal folklore) which is called folk literature and with the popular literature the introduction has been done in general sense.
Learning Outcomes 1) Determines the situation of folk literature in Turkish literature.
2) Defines the culture, folklore and folk literature.
3) Gets general information about form and type in folk literature.
4) Reviews prose and verse terms in folk literature.
5) Understands the elements of folk poetry with sample texts.
6) Gets information about prosaic types in folk literature.
7) Gets information about form and context of epics, legends, fairy tales, folktales, jokes... etc in the way with making descriptions.
