Goals To introduce and teach the love tradition of Turkish poetry which is a one topic of verbal Turkish literature, lovers(âşıkları) their work and love creativity.
Course Content In this course the folk artist who are known as “LOVER” (Folk singer Âşık)and their work has evaluated in the context of social and cultural field.
Learning Outcomes 1) Will be informed of the source of the main works of the Turkish folk literature research.
2) Learns verbal resources of Turkish Folk Literature.
3) Obtains general information about the written sources of Turkish Folk Literature.
4) Obtains information about Orkhon Inscriptions, Divan-ı Lugat-it Turk, Dede Korkut Stories, compiling dictionaries, conk and periodicals.
5) Reads sample texts and detections.
