Goals To teach and enables the students to learn to write and read historical Turkish writing, written in Arabic alphabet.
Course Content This is the lesson in which basic rules of Ottoman Turkish is taught.
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns Ottoman Turkish writing system.
2) Learns the basic grammar of the Ottoman Turkish.
3) Understands the structure of Arabic and Persian elements in Ottoman Turkish.
4) Reads Ottoman Turkish simple texts written in Arabic script.
5) Analyses and understands Arabic and Persian structures in contemporary Turkish literary texts.
6) Transfers Turkish text with Latin alphabet to Turkish writing system in Arabic script
7) Has ability at using Turkish orally and in writing properly and correctly.
