Goals Explanation of concepts related to greenhouse cultivation,Comparison of greenhouse and other protected cultivation in Türkiye and the World, Grouping of greenhouse and other protected structures, Installation of low and high plastic tunnels, Planning and carrying out cultivation in greenhouse and other protected structures, Making recommendations on structure and cultivation patterns suitable for the region and purpose,To be able to follow and apply innovations in the field by examining academic studies in the field of greenhouse and other protected cultivation, Creating responsibility awareness in teams established to carry out greenhouse and other protected cultivation activities, Gaining the ability to detect problems that arise during cultivation and offer solutions, Being aware of the methods of evaluating the available opportunities and using them effectively, Gaining the ability to take precautions to protect the environment during cultivation, Providing the opportunity to experience ways to evaluate the grown product
Course Content Related concepts of greenhouse and other protected cultivation, its history, greenhouse and other protected cultivation in Türkiye and the World, Classification of greenhouse and other structures, their properties, superficial plastic cover and its properties, Features of low plastic tunnel, its installation, use in horticulture cultivation, Features of high plastic tunnel, its installation, use in horticulture cultivation, Structural features of greenhouses, their classification, factors affecting greenhouse installation, Greenhouse building materials and building elements, Creating ecological conditions suitable for plant cultivation, Basic principles of greenhouse planning, Crop production applications and Cultural practices in greenhouse and other protected cultivation, Growing horticulture in the greenhouse and other protected cultivation (vegetable cultivation), Growing horticulture in the greenhouse and other protected cultivation (fruit and ornamental plants cultivation), Evaluation of current academic studies on greenhouse and other cultivation, Technical visit to greenhouses in the province or district
Learning Outcomes 1) Explains the concepts and history of greenhouseand other cultivation.
2) Compares greenhouse cultivation in our country and the world.
3) Classifies greenhouse and other structures.
4) It makes the high and low tunnel installation
5) Plans and carries out cultivation in greenhouse structures.
6) It makes suggestions on structure and cultivation patterns suitable for the region and purpose.
7) It follows the crop production and fulfills its responsibility in teamwork in problem solving.
8) Follows academic studies on greenhouse cultivation and applies them in the field.
9) It takes the necessary precautions to use energy resources appropriately and effectively in cultivation.
