Goals to help the student understand the basic and subsidiary sources of Islamic law, the formation and development process of legal procedure, the methods of making judgments from basic sources.
Course Content Basic sources of Islamic law (Quran, Sunnah, İjma, analogy), formation anda development of Islamic law, provisions related to the law of quran and sunnah.
Learning Outcomes 1) Those who are familiar with the subject matter of the course namely the Qur’an, the Tradition of the Prophet, Consessus and Analogy as the fundamental sources of deriving
2) Understand the natüre and process of the development of Islamic law
3) Comprehend the historical development of the methodology
4) Possible reason of the differences of opinions and rise of various schools of law in consequence
