Goals Ensuring a point of view that is able to evaluate the connection with the mystic cultures in the other religions after understanding the place of Tasawwuf in the Islamic thought as well as its effect on the religious, philosophical, literal and cultural field, and providing the usage of the information gained in the contemporary matters and to examine the region in which we live and the historical process in the nearby geography and the ongoing activity of the socio-cultural area
Course Content The similarities between mysticism and sufism (Islamic mysticism), differences / Sources of Islamic mysticism and the issue of foreign influence / Sufism in close geography and Anatolia today. The subjects of the nature of Sufism and sects, Topics of Spiritual Education, Topics about Murshid and Murid
Learning Outcomes 1) Comprehend the process that tasawwuf turns into an institution,
2) Comprehend the place as well as importance of Tasawwuf in the Islamic thought
3) Comprehend concept and meaning prosperity formed by the mystic culture which exists with the human
4) Evaluate the role of the Sufi institutes in the political and cultural field
5) Interpreted and evaluated on sufi terms and phrases that are often discussed in the context of individuals and society.
6) Be able to present solution offers based on evidences and researches for the questions he/ she is asked in the field and the matter he/ she faces
7) Be able to evaluate the contemporary approaches related to Tasawwuf with scientific methods today
