Goals To make the students have the analysis capacity as to whether the main religious concepts and problems can be justified rationally as distinct from systematic and dogmatic theology and Kalam. To show the learn and use methots of primary and secondary sources.
Course Content Main Problems of Philosophy of Religion
Learning Outcomes 1) Knows classical and modern debates on religion-philosophy relation.
2) Analyses, with a critical and objective perspective, religion as a fact
3) Knows arguments for existence of God and its atheistic critics.
4) Studies philosophical aspects of basic religious concepts like revelation, miracle and faith.
5) Knows philosophical ant theological problems of God-universe, God-human relations.
6) He/She can compare the trueness and salvation claims of various religions.
7) Knows religious claims about creation and beginning of the universe; and scientific theories in modern Physics like big bang and evolution.
8) Examines the conflicts and reconciliation theses on the relationship between religion and science.
