Goals This course teaches the student to focus on care models while performing nursing practices.
Course Content This course includes model definition/benefits/use areas, application areas of nursing models, Health Belief Model, Health Promotion Model, Transtheoretical Model, Social Learning Model, Self-Care Model, Planned Behavior Theory Model, Case report about nursing care models, nursing care models. Includes review of relevant sample articles.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines nursing models and related concepts.
2) Comprehends the importance of utilizing nursing models in nursing care.
3) Comprehends the relation between nursing models and nursing care.
4) Comprehends the process of developing models for increasing the quality of nursing care.
