Goals This course aims to teach the student the systematic approach in nursing care.
Course Content This course includes definition of classification systems, history of classification systems used in the field of health, usage areas and benefits of nursing classification systems, North American Nursing Association (NANDA), Nursing Diagnoses, Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC), Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC), International Disease Classification System (ICD), International Classification of Functioning and Disease (ICF), International Classification of Health Initiatives (ICHI), Home Health Care Classification (HHCC), International Classification of Nursing Practices (ICNP), OMAHA Nursing Classification System, Patient Care Data Environment ( PCDS) topics.
Learning Outcomes 1) Comprehending the importance of the systematic approach in nursing care.
