Goals Introducing the characteristics of the methods used in researches related to the subjects of medical ethics, the strong and problematic aspects of these methods; determining and examining similar and different aspects of research on ethical values with other social science researches; In general, it is aimed to transfer the theoretical knowledge related to researches in the field of social science and especially in the field of medical ethics in practice.
Course Content Basic concepts: introducing concepts such as data, measurement tools, sample, universe, randomization, blinding, validity, reliability, consistency, causality. Research methods: introduction to qualitative, quantitative and narrative research methods. Research in social sciences: The epistemological features and problems of social sciences will be discussed and the place of medical ethics among the social sciences will be emphasized. Research methods used in social sciences will be reviewed in detail. The stages of conducting a medical ethics research will be examined.
Learning Outcomes 1) Lists research methods in social sciences.
2) Selects the appropriate method for his/her Project.
3) Makes SWOT analysis for research methods.
