Goals This course aims to analyse the period between 1918 and 1938 in different fields in an effort to throw light on the Turkish National War and revolutionary developments before and after the establishment of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
Course Content This course aims to provide the framework for Turkey’s National War and revolutionary trends in a crucial period of both domestic and international developments between 1918 and 1938. The issues relating Ataturk’s principles for the Turkish Republic, the Turkish modernisation and the nature of the new Turkish state are also utilised within the context of the course.

4) To review the world’s historical events from the past to the present
5) To interpret the general course of Turkish history in world politics
