Goals To gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the viticulture, grapevine propagation, grapevine growing and cultivation techniques in vineyards.
Course Content The origin and history of viticulture, grapevine classification, nutritional value of grapes, ecological requirements of grapevine, morphological structure of grapevine, grapevine propagation, establishment of vineyards and the annual cultural processes in vineyard.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gains knowledge about the begining and development of the viticulture.
2) Gains comparative analysis of grapevine plant characteristics and product, ecological requirements, spread around the world and viticulture in Turkey
3) Can be use of grapevine pruning and training systems, cultural and propogation techniques.
4) Can be use of grapevine pruning and training systems, cultural and propogation techniques.
5) Gains on the commercial classes of garpes
