Goals The objectives of this lecture is to present the fundamental knowledge on plant virology, Spesifications and taxponomy of plant parasitic viruses, their symptomatology, Host-vector and virus interactions, identification techniques of plant viruses and control of plant viruses
Course Content Classification of plant viruses, morphological characteristics of plant viruses, disease symptoms and host range, purification and composition of plant viruses, genome organization, virus movement through the plant and effects of plant metabolism, virus-plant interactions, transmission, viroids, satellite viruses and satellite RNAs, detection and diagnosis, virus-control strategies
Learning Outcomes 1) Students learn the properties of plant virus disease agents
2) Students learn virus detection methods.
3) Students learn virus detection methods.
