Goals The objectives of this course is provide some experience to the lab works, to learn usage of Microscope and microscopy techniques, and also provide the fundemental methods to the MSc and PhD students of Plant protection Department, Entomology section.
Course Content Laboratory safety, laboratory facilities and rules, microtechnology methods,, microscopes and microscope types, measuring microscope, tome slide with blood and baculovirus cell count, blood preparation, dissection of the organ systems of different orders and time, storing the collection of small arthropods and preparation techniques, nematodes collection and preparation of molecular identification
Learning Outcomes 1) The student who takes this course learn different microscopy techniques.
2) He/she can get information about takin section from insect body.
3) He/shee can learn the preparation techniques of important plant pests.
4) He/she can learn how to dissect the different parts of the insect body.
5) He/she can take basic information about the general molecular techniques.
6) He/she can learn how to collect nematodes and make preparation of them.
7) He/she can learn how to collect insects and get information about their permanent preparation.
