Goals The aim of this course is to provide some knowledge about the fungal, bacterial and viral diseases of vegetable crops and ornamental plants as practical and the theorical courses.
Course Content In the present course, damping-off diseases, Fungal, bacterial and virus disesases of plants belonging to Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae and Umbellifera families and also, in ornamental cut plants, treesand shrubs.
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns turkish and scientific names of bacterial fungal and viral infections of some vegetables and ornamental diseases
2) One can determine biotic and abiotic disesases according to the macroscobic symptoms on vegetabla crops and ornamental plants
3) one can identify the biotic plant pathogens by microscopic features and detection methods
4) One can explain biology and disease conditions
5) One can learn disease dissemination and incidence of vegetable crops and ornamental plants
6) One can learn control of the diseases and can select the suitable control methods and can apply
7) One can have knowledge on ornamental plants and vegetable crops and can solve the problem of the producers of
