Goals This course aims to gain an overview to the students about the landforms and their forming mechanisms.
Course Content 1. What is geomorphology? 2. Dynamic surface of the Earth 3. Tools in geomorphology 4. Weathering and landforms 5. Geomorphic hydrology 6. Hillslopes 7. Channels 8. Drainage basins 9. Coastal and submarine geomorphology 10. Glacial and periglacial geomorphology 11. Eolian landforms 12. Volcanic geomorphology 13. Geomorphology and climate 14. Tectonic geomorphology
Learning Outcomes 1) Students will be able to recognize the landforms, and understand their forming mechanisms.
2) Students use their knowledge in solving engineering geology problems.
3) Students understand the physical changes of the Earth's crust.
