Goals Describe geological time table. The main purpose of the course is to explain the events in the geological times including evolution of continents and life.
Course Content Formation of Earth; Principles of stratigraphy, dating techniques; Establishment of geological time table;Details of each Eon, period and epochs
Learning Outcomes 1) Yer tarihindeki jeolojik zamanları, devirleri ve devreleri tanımlar.
2) Her jeolojik zaman dilimindeki olayları açıklar
3) Kıtaların evrimini, okyanusların açılıp kapanmalarını kronolojik bir sıra içersinde anlatır
4) Jeolojik zamanların karakteristik canlılarını ve bu canlıların anılan zaman dilimindeki gelişimlerini ve evrimini açıklar
5) Kuvaterner’in en önemli olayı olarak kabul edilen insanın, omurgalılar içerisindeki evrimini ayrıntılarıyla açıklar
6) Yer tarihindeki Toplu Yokolmalar hakkında bilgi sahibi olur.
