Goals The purpose of this course is to give information about first aid, laboratory accidents, definition of chemistry, process that are done to waste materials, study with explosive and flammable substances, distillation in laboratories, cautions while working under high pressure and vacuum, working with electrical devices, protecting from hazardous light rays, precautions for fire, fire extinguishers, masks and filters, and toxicity. .
Course Content Importance of safety;Works to be done before laboratory experiment;Environment of chemicals;Devices, materials and cleaning of them;Processes for waste products;Working with electrical equipments;Introduction to nuclear chemistry, radiation types, ionizing radiation, protection from radiactive rays environmental pollution;Using of ionizing radiation in medicine;Nuclear reactors;Electromagnetism, radiotion, optical radiation;Toxicology, toxicological properties of chemicals;Metabolismic transformation of toxin and measure to avoid;Protection from the risk of respiratory;First aid in laboratory accident and overview
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines the importance of safety in laboratories and organizes the safety working procedures.
2) Classifies the chemical substances, storage-movement-transfer of them.
3) Regulates the devices in the laboratories.
4) . Defines the working rules under high and low pressure
5) Defines the rules about the gathering of waste materials of laboratories and making them non-hazardous.
6) Deduces the precautions for fire and explosions.
7) Defines the working rules for radioactive substances.
8) Defines the information about inhaling and exhaling the hazardous substances for human metabolism
9) Gives information about accidents, their precautions and first aid in the case of an accident.
