Goals Teaching advanced concepts of polymers and structures and giving detailed information about polymerisation types.
Course Content The retarding and inhibition of polymerization, auto-inhibition and its kinetic, transfer reactions in free radical chain polymerization and the kinetics of transfer reactions, molecular weight and the dependence of polymerization rate to the temperature, depolymerization reactions, copolymerization and its kinetic, reactivity ratios, block and graft copolymers, polymerization systems.
Learning Outcomes 1) The student expresses the chemical structures and properties of polymers widely used in everyday life.
2) The student describes the properties of polymers synthesized according to polymerization types.
3) The student makes kinetic calculations for the types of polymerization.
