Goals The main objectives of the course are; to provide information about research methods in rural sociology, rural development, rural-agricultural extension, agricultural policy and in some application areas of the agricultural economy, to contribute about research methods for students in sufficient knowledge and skills methods, encourage students to conduct research, surveys to enforce and evaluate them, make analysis, make a comment.
Course Content What is science, definition of scientist, qualifications of science, what is research, selection of research subject, purpose of research subject, significance of research subject, and literature review, determination of the hypothesis, research plan and developing of interview questions, question papers schedules and questionnaire, selection of field, the survey will be applied to the selection of individuals, the sampling done, classification of the collected data’s and findings from field and evaluation, to do table, chart and diagrams, analysis, using of SPSS program, report writing and presentation techniques.

3) What are the objectives, importance and limitations in the research? What is the hypothesis and how is it established?
4) Primary, secondary data in research? Steps in the realization of an academic and scientific research
5) The methods used to derive data from the field? Quantitative and qualitative research methods
6) Questionnaire method? Types of questions? Question types on the questionnaire? Elements to be considered in the questionnaire applications? Sampling in survey applications
7) Code plan? Data processing form? Processing of data on a computer? Use of SPSS program Evaluation and analysis of data in SPSS?
8) Mono and cross table creation Chi-square test, correlation analysis, variable definitions? Interpretation and presentation of research results
