Goals General concepts of fertilization, classification and terminology, importance of fertilizers in agriculture, state and history of fertilizer industry; fertilizer production-consumption situation; production technologies of nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium fertilizers and production technologies, production technologies of multi-nutrient (compound) fertilizers and micro-element fertilizers; physical properties of fertilizers and their reactions in the soil; calculating the amount of fertilizer to be applied to the soil; basic principles and methods of fertilization; to provide up-to-date information on fertilizer-environment related issues.
Course Content . Fertilizer and fertilization, soil and plant condition of different nutrients (N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, B, Mo, Cl) biochemical role, deficiencies and changes in excess,
