Goals The aim of this lesson is to give knowledges with theoretical and practical knowledges about importance of nutrients in nutrition of ornamentals and its functions, nutrient deficiencies in ornamental plants, nutrient demands of some ornamentals, critical levels of nutrients in leaves, methods in fertilisation of ornamental plants, factors concerning with nutrition of ornamentals, and lawn fertilisation.
Course Content . Approaches with related to identification of ornamentals, classification of ornamental plants, importance of nutrients in nutrition of ornamentals and its functions, nutrient deficiencies in ornamental plants, nutrient demands of some ornamentals, critical levels of nutrients in leaves, methods in fertilisation of ornamental plants, factors concerning with nutrition of ornamentals, fertilisation of indoor and outdoor plants, fertilisation of some cutting plants, lawn fertilisation, media using in ornamental plant production, usage aims of growth regulators and chemical compounds in ornamental plants.
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognising ornamentals grown in general concept
2) Calculating general application of doses in liquit and solid fertilizers
3) Learning of growing conditions of indoor and outdoor ornamentals
4) To obtain knowledges about nutrition and fertilization of ornamentals and lawn areas.
