Goals In this course it is aimed to teach basic economic theories, preparing the ground for project valuations
Course Content Scope and basic concepts, optimization, concepts and analysis of costs, relation of money-time and cash flow analyses, analysis of project costs, amortization and taxes, project appraisal methods and applications, inflation and project appraisal, capacity development investments, selection of establishment areas in projects, risk, uncertainty and probability theories and the methods of analysis, project appraisal and decisions trees, capital budgeting and sources of finance, appraisal of public project, linear programming and integer programming in project appraisals, macro-economic analysis of investment projects, measurement of efficiency and productivity, size of business, fusion of business and inter business cooperation (economies of scale, transaction cost and synergy impacts) and discussions on case studies.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gains the concepts of optimization, cost analysis, money-time relationships
2) Discusses of analysis of the project cost, depreciation and taxes, valuation methods.
3) Learns the concepts of inflation and project evaluation, decision trees, project risk, uncertainty and probability theory and analysis method.
4) Gains integer linear programming and planning practice in project evaluation.
5) Learns macro-economic analysis of the project, effectiveness and efficiency measurement.
