Goals In this course, the historical conditions of the birth of moderns science will be investigated and the question why medieval middle east and chinese civilizations could not create scientific revolution will be answered.
Course Content Conditions for the birth of modern science in the West and why it did not emerge in the East.
Learning Outcomes 1) Relationship of science with other intellectual activities (namely art and philosophy) and sociological factors are shown.
2) Helps understanding the conditions where scientific development occurs.
3) Shows the social results of scientific and technical development.
