Goals Making chemical events related to living cells comprehensible at molecular level and developing discussion skills about biochemical structure and reactions.

Learning Outcomes 1) Summarizes molecular meaning of life.
2) Explains the importance of water, pH and buffers in biochemical medium.
3) Classifies carbonhydrates and gives unique examples for each class.
4) Classifies biomolecules in the living structure, expresses functions and properties of these biomolecules.
5) Explains the importance of enzymes and the factors affecting enzyme kinetics.
