Goals To provide a healthy and safe environment at workplaces, to reduce work accidents and occupational diseases, to inform employees about legal rights and responsibilities, to teach occupational risks they face and precautions to be taken against these risks, and to give proper behavior by building awareness of occupational health and safety.
Course Content Fire, health and safety signs, Personal protective equipment, OHS in closed areas, Occupational hygiene, Occupational Accidents, OHS in manual lifting and transportation, OHS measures in electricity, First aid, Ethics, Environment and Occupational health, Screened vehicles and OHS
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines the concept of occupational health and safety.
2) Summarize the historical development of occupational health and safety in Turkey and in the world.
3) He/she makes the risk analysis of the institution he/she works with and can take the necessary precautions in this direction.
