Goals Gaining information on qualitative and quantitative analysis of the drug molecules according to various pharmacopoeia.
Course Content Definition of Pharmacopeia and its historical development, Some terms and descriptions that takes place in pharmacopeias, Studies on Turkish, American, European and International pharmacopeias and their comparison, Chapters of pharmacopeias, Investigation of officinal drugs in terms of quantitative analysis methods that takes place in pharmacopeias.
Learning Outcomes 1) The relationship between the chemical structure and the analysis of the pharmaceutically active substances, qualitative and quantitative analysis
2) Knows the method principles and the validation method, defines compliance with the pharmacopoeia and the international standards
3) Knows instrumental analysis methods(UV, IR, NMR and Mass), reference sources to be followed and pharmacopoeia analysis for qualitative and quantitative
4) Makes qualitative-quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical active ingredients by conventional and instrumental methods.
5) Makes consultancy and cooperation with drug-quality control laboratories
