Goals These objectives are planned to be complete in the context of this lesson; 1-to learn the basic concept, principles, techniques and problems of measurement and evaluation 2-to promote students to be better teachers 3-to comprehend the test development process 4-to write different items formats 5-to learn about basic steps of test development 6-to understand how to assess and score.
Course Content 1- The importance of measurement and evaluation in education and the basic concepts related to t 2- 2-Qualificaitons that an instrument should have, measurement errors, validity and reliability 3- Measuring cognitive behaviors 4- Test plana and test types 5- Statistical calculations on measurement results 6- Assessment and scoring 7- Assessment based on students.
Learning Outcomes 1) They explain the purpose and importance of measurement and evaluation practices in education and psychology.
2) Distinguish the difference between measurement and evaluation.
3) Describe different measurement and evaluation approaches used in education and psychology.
4) It evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the measurement and evaluation practices related to the field.
5) Explore the process of developing reliable, field-specific measurement tools.
6) It selects the appropriate measuring instrument for its field-specific operations.
7) Calculates test and item statistics using the scores obtained from the measurement tools.
8) Correct interpretation of statistical analysis on measurement results.
9) Evaluates the results obtained from measurement tools with appropriate evaluation methods.
