Goals To understand the importance of medicinal plants in the World and Turkey, to reveal their place in the trade in the world and Turkey, to introduce the plants in this group, to teach general cultivation techniques, to introduce the medicinal plants that have economic importance especially for Turkey and to teach their culture.
Course Content A general evaluation of medicinal and aromatic plants, Culturing in medicinal and aromatic plants, Harvesting and blending in medicinal and aromatic plants, Vegetative production methods in medicinal and aromatic plants, Generative production methods in medicinal and aromatic plants, Rooting methods in medicinal and aromatic plants.
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns the importance of medicinal and aromatic plants on the world
2) Understands the bothanical characteristrics, climatite and soil needs of these plants
3) Make plans of planting and maintenance works to be able to get high yield products and timely planning of crop harvesting and drying works
