Goals The use of medicinal plants from the past to the present, the methods of their obtaining, the introduction of medicinal plants, giving information about their cultivation, explaining the methods and how to apply the active substances in these plants and used in drug production.
Course Content The history of pharmaceutical plants, their usage patterns, the ways of using them, the definition of drugs, the active ingredient of pharmaceutical plants, drug plants whose leaves are used, drug plants whose roots are used, drug plants whose flowers are used, drug plants whose fruits are used.
Learning Outcomes 1) To be able to comprehend the evaluation and pre-treatment of pharmaceutical plants.
2) To learn the active ingredients of medicinal plants.
3) To learn the medicinal plants that make use of their flowers, seeds, leaves and fruits.
