Goals To give information about the general situation of essential oil plants, their usage areas and their economic importance. To introduce the essential oil plants that are widely used in the world and in Turkey and to teach them the cultivation techniques.
Course Content Description, history, classification of essential oil plants, essential oil containing plants and their origin, botanical characteristics, cultivation and evaluation techniques.
Learning Outcomes 1) To be able to comprehend the economic importance of essential oil plants.
2) To learn about the structural features of essential oil plants.
3) To be able to develop suitable models in projects for the development of industrial branches in which essential oil plants are used.
