Goals The aim is to teach the dental tissue specific stem cells, the roles of stem cells on periodontal regeneration, to clarify the molecular developmental and functional mechanisms of the dental stem cells.
Course Content The embryological development of the transition and the molecular mechanisms in this process, dental epithelial and mesenchymal stem cells will be described. The characteristics of dental stem cells, the location of mesenchymal stem cells, their characteristics and the importance of regeneration of periodontium will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes 1) To know the dental tissue specific stem cells, the roles of dental stem cells on organ development,
2) To clarify the molecular developmental and functional mechanisms of thedental stem cells
3) Progression of periodontal tissue damage, enhancement of stem cell contribution in preservation of homeostasis
