Goals The aim of the lesson is to examine grammatical features, word stucture and spelling rules of Turkish. Examples, topics, and terms are given in English. The aim of teaching the course in English is to improve the English knowledge of the students.
Course Content Phonetic features of Turkish, word emphasis, word types, noun phrases, punctuation structures, sentence types, suffixes used in Turkish, usage of punctuation marks and writing rules are given as English in this lesson.
Learning Outcomes 1) Evaluates the text which he/she readed and the programme which he/she listened to.
2) There is no doubt that Turkish is a science language.
3) To get detailed information about the general characteristics of Turkish and to use this information in English.
4) The student discusses the relations between the language and culture
5) The student discusses the historical periods of Turkish language
6) Evaluates every aspect of a text he / she reads, a program he / she watches.
7) Defines the specifics of the Turkish language.
8) Applies the spelling rules. Uses the punctuation in its proper place.
9) Recognize the features and subtleties of Turkish language. Produces thoughts about the historical development and current problems of Turkish. Apply spelling rules. Uses punctuation in place. Writes petition and curriculum vitae. Recognizes literary genres (essays, column, poems, novels, stories). Identify similarities and differences about literary genres. Develops writing on a subject. There is no doubt that Turkish is a science language.
