Goals
This course is designed to provide an overview of trademarks and trademark law and practice in Turkey.
Course Content
The course gives a brief account of concept of trademark, types of trademarks, signs which are appropriate to be registered as a trademark, grounds of refusal of an application, protection of trademarks and remedies aiming the protection, limitations to rights, termination of rights, exhaustion of rights, provisional measures.
Learning Outcomes
1) Student grasps the concept and types of trademark
2) Student grasps the infringement of trademark and the means to prevent it.
3) Student acquires ability to do further research on trademark law.
