Goals The aim of this course is to inform the students about the concept of human rights, national and international agreements about human rights and protection systems.
Course Content The definition of the concept of human rights, history of human rights and types; approach of Turkish constitutions to the issue of human rights; limitation regime of fundamental rights along with freedoms and fundamental rightswithin1982 Constitution ; the protection of human rights in national law; the protection of human rights in international law; international conventions on human rights and protection mechanisms; general and private main human rights conventions produced by the United Nations; Universal Declaration of Human Rights; European Convention on Human Rights; state and individual application methods to the European Court of Human Rights; the investigation stage of application to the European Court of Human Rights in terms admissibility and merits; current discussions on Human Rights.
Learning Outcomes 1) Having knowledge basic concepts about human rights and historical development
2) Having knowledge about human rights protection mechanisms in national and international agreements
3) Applies different knowledge to the field of civil defense and firefighting with multidisciplinary perspective.
