Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to have knowledge about the sound features of Turkish, emphasis system and toning order; to gain the ability to use Turkish correctly and beautifully in front of the community; to improve their ability to express themselves and to make oral presentations in business and professional life.
Course Content Speaking concepts: communication, speech - language- and thought relation; the place of oral and written expression in the communication; sound, sound processing and speech organs; sound: the quality of sound; diction; diction: tone and intonation; accentuation and stop, body language; utterance rules and defects; oral expression disorders; presentations of homework.
Learning Outcomes 1) Being able to use Turkish grammar correctly and effectively, define basic concepts and terms related to oral expression and prepare verbal / written texts using various techniques of oral and written expression.
2) Using diction techniques (breathing techniques, articulation, emphasis and intonation), voice and body language in order to be able to speak correctly, beautifully and effectively.
3) Has knowledge about general definitions
