Goals To gain knowledge and skills about the importance and properties of dangerous goods transportation, risks and precautions encountered in transportation and storage.
Course Content Identification and Classification of Dangerous Goods, International Dangerous Cargo Transport Code (IMDG Code) at Sea, Stacking and Separation of Cargoes According to IMDC Code, Branding and Packaging of Dangerous Goods, Documentation of Dangerous Goods, Safe Handling, Separation and Stacking Principles, National and Dangerous Cargo Transportation International Regulations, Oil Transportation and Oil Tankers, Tanker Management, Loading and Unloading Processes in Tankers, Chemical Tankers, LPG and LNG Tankers, Preparation of Tankers for Surveys
Learning Outcomes 1) Gains knowledge of the terminology related to the profession.
2) Makes analysis in danger, take clear and correct decisions.
3) Applies different knowledge to the field of civil defense and firefighting with multidisciplinary perspective.
