Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to gain knowledge on the basic properties and use of materials.
Course Content Internal structure of materials; deformation properties of materials; mechanical properties of the material; time- dependent behavior of materials; physical properties of materials; heat, sound, water and fire insulation of material; industrial materials; construction materials; impact of ambient conditions in materials and corrosion.
Learning Outcomes 1) Applies different knowledge to the field of civil defense and firefighting with multidisciplinary perspective.
2) Gains knowledge of the terminology related to the profession.
3) Continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills and to gain awareness of following innovations.
