Goals The aim of this course is to provide students having knowledge about the social security history and insurance branches.
Course Content The history of social security; reforms of social security; objectives and tasks of Social Security Institution; structure of Social Security Institution; the insurance relationship; the beginning, notification, and termination of the insurance relationship; premiums, rates, public contributions and penalties; short term insurance branches; the rights provided by the short-term insurance branches; long term insurance branches; service debt; emolument and income.
Learning Outcomes 1) He/she knows the application of different information to disaster management in terms of multidisciplinary approach.
2) Having knowledge about social security applications and the importance of social security and practices in professional life; Having knowledge about benefits, usage areas, rights and liabilities of Social Security Institution and private insurance.
3) He/she knows about the long term social effects of disasters.
