Goals Basic concepts of chemistry, theoretical systematic and comprehensive information on the rules and regulations by providing an understanding of these concepts and provide experimental access to concrete data about chemistry.
Course Content Introduction, Stoichiometry, Determination of molecular formula, Distillation, Dissolution and preparation of solutions, Qualitative analysis of cations, Qualitative analysis of anions, pH notion and measurement, Acids-bases and their reactions, Chemical equilibrium, Electrolysis, Redox reactions
Learning Outcomes 1) The student learns the purpose of your lab work. The student uses materials, tools and materials used in chemical laboratories in a convenient and safe way.
2) The student knows the rules of the laboratory. The student knows the signs of the laboratory.
3) The student uses the conversion factors to demonstrate numerical results together with the right units.
4) The student knows how to separate liquid-liquid or liquid-solid mixtures.
5) The student offsets chemical reactions and performs calculations on chemical reactions.
6) The student converts different units of concentration to each other; prepare the solution at known concentration and calculate the concentration of solutes and the amount of a substance in solution.
7) The student associates with chemical equilibrium and reaction speed; discusses the factors altering the equilibrium.
8) The student examines definitions of the concept of pH and calculations on the acid and base solutions, compares weak /strong acid/base concepts.
9) The student makes necessary calculations with acid-base reactions.
10) The student explains the factors that affect the process of dissolution and solubility of walking events.
11) The student distiguishes electrolytic and galvanic cells; calculates the standard electrode potentials.
12) The student knows the preparation rules of the experimental report and prepares the report.
